Dinas faced league equals Risca United on a cold but beautiful day at the Murch ground.
The first half saw a pretty even game with limited clear cut opportunities. As the game wore on the pitch seemed to thaw out and started to cut up making conditions difficult for both teams. The half ended 0-0 with the visitors seeing slightly more of the possession.
Dinas came out second half determined to get the ball down and play. Stringing together some intricate play Dinas started to look the better team. In a defining moment of the game Risca were denied a goal due to a superb reaction save from the Dinas keeper.
Dinas kicked on from this and kept at the steely Risca defence. With 10 minutes to go the red and blacks finally broke through courtesy of Dylan Walsh who calmly slotted home at the back post from a pin point pass.
This win saw Dinas overtake Risca in the league and the Villagers jump to 11th in the table. Dinas travel away to Caldicot Town next week. Good luck boys ! 💪👍
