Dinas were hoping to build on their hard fought win last week which would see them climb yet further up the table.
They travelled away to a resolute Caldicot Town who started with a bang and took the lead within 50 seconds of the kick off 🙈. The stunned Rooks responded 5 minutes later with an equaliser from Kieron McCarthy who nodded a looping header over the Caldicot keeper. 🙌 No more than 5 minutes later the home team re-established their lead 2-1.😭 Disaster followed with a Penalty awarded to Caldicot for a deliberate hand ball which saw the Dinas man receive a straight red🔴. Caldicot were clinical and extended their lead from the spot 3-1. That’s how the first half ended in this eventful tie.
The second half continued to see the home team press their man advantage, and Dinas leaked two heartbreaking goals. 5-1 🙈 In what would seem a hopeless cause Dinas showed spirit and looked dangerous on the counter attack, their determination was rewarded with a penalty late in the 2nd half. Dinas netted to make it 5-2 and thats how this dramatic game ended.
Rhodri and his men are on the road again next Saturday and face Aberdare Town. Can they bring back 3 much needed points ?
