Another win for the Rooks!

Dinas entertained West End today at the Murch. A win today would see the Rooks strengthen their position in the league. 💪

The first half saw the Villagers start well and within 10 minutes an industrious Myles Case on the left linked beautifully with Reuban Bryl who proceeded to square a pinpoint cross for Rhys Palmer to find the top corner with his head. 1-nil. ☝️ West End kept at Dinas and proved a constant threat, attacking in numbers. The Rooks defence saw out the first half despite this pressure.⛔️

In what seems a common theme under the new gaffer the second half saw Dinas put the ball on the floor to play some intricate passing football. The increased possession frustrated the visitors and saw them lose a man due to a second yellow card 🔴. The reds and blacks turned the screw and extended the lead through a penalty that was calmly converted by Gaz Emanuel who is rapidly becoming the “Harry Kane” penalty taker of the Welsh League second tier✌️. Despite being a man down West End still pushed to cause Dinas problems but a fine double save from the Dinas keeper quashed any chance of a revival from the visitors. The game ended 2-nil to Dinas.✋

The superb increased support from the Dinas community really motivated the players today. Thank you 🙏

Next game is away to AFC Llwydcoed come on boys keep it going !!!!⚽️⚽️
