The above event now has a new date: Saturday 20th May 2017 at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Cardiff.
This is an explanation for all club members, coaches, managers, parents and anyone else connected with the football club.
The event has been organised as a fundraiser with all proceeds going the development fund for the “St Cyres bid”.
As you know the “St Cyres bid” relates to a new club house and football ground which will, if we achieve this, provide the best football facilities in the Vale for years and generations to come. The importance of raising funds for this cannot be understated, as this will benefit the football club and the wider community.
Why have the event at the Radisson Blu Hotel? They have been one of the main sponsors of the football club for the last four years and have selected our club as a community sports club to support above others. I cannot emphasise enough how important their sponsorship has been for the whole club, providing monies for equipment and kit.
Our club, like all football clubs can only operate through the generosity of sponsors who rarely get anything in return.
Holding the event at the Radisson Blu Hotel is the football clubs way of thanking them for their generosity and will hopefully secure sponsorship for the next season and beyond. This will be the second event the football club has had in the last 3 years at the hotel and all parties should see the value of this partnership.
If we are unable to fulfil our obligation to this event then I would suspect that Radisson Blu would not want to fulfil its sponsorship obligation, which would be a massive loss to the club.
I would therefore ask that everyone do their best to support the event. You can buy and individual seat, a number of seats or a table, every little bit will help.
